Jennifer and Sammy

This weekend was Jennifer and Sammy's wedding. I have been working on this wedding for a year. The wedding was at Lakeside Resort in Smithville, TN. There was much research done but in the end catering and DJ were done by Bob Sotis. Cake done by Sweet and Sassy. Photograpy done by a friend. The wedding ceremony was outside and the reception inside. Jennifer's colors were white and deep purple. It was very hot but the wedding went very well and everyone enjoyed the reception. One of the unique things about the wedding was there were three men and three women on the bride's side and six men and one woman on the groom's side. It was a very large wedding party. I think my favorite part of the ceremony was when Jennifer and the flower girls crested the hill above the ceremony in a horse-drawn carriage for her father to walk her down the aisle. It was very dramatic and beautiful. After the ceremony Jennifer and Sammy were driven away by the carriage. Later on in the evening free carriage rides were open to everyone. Below are a few pictures. I will post more when I have access to the professional pictures.

Program and wedding favor.

The wedding favors were fans.

Such a great idea for a hot day!

Dani and Nick

Dani and Nick's wedding was October 10 but I am very slow to update. They had a beautiful wedding with a major color theme of a raspberry red color. Their wedding theme was country and it turned out very well. The centerpieces were mason jars with river rocks and tubs with beer. They had homemade wine and Vittles catered. My favorite unique part of the reception was the seating chart. Dani labeled a river rock with each family/guest and labeled the tables according to the river rocks. The guests looked at their rock to see the letter of their table. It was very cute and everyone enjoyed it. Below are some pictures of the set-up before the guests arrived.

I have taken a little time off since October and am planning a wedding in June at Center Hill Lake for 250, which has taken up a good deal of my time. Will post about other upcoming events later.

Sep, 12, 2009

It has been a while since I have put anything on here. I have been very busy with Bethany and Michael's wedding, which was Sep. 12. It was really beautiful! Thankfully we had the last non- rainy weekend for a while booked. It was warm but otherwise the weather was perfect. The wedding was at the bride's grandmother's house. It started at 4:00 and except for a little tuxedo mess-up was right on time. The reception featured various fruit, vegetables, and meats and cheeses all provided by the bride's aunt and the groom's workplace. There were stargazer lilies everywhere and the reception ended with a lovely starry night. The music was chosen by the bride, groom, and I and in addition to all my other usual duties I DJ'ed as well, which was very new for me. Below are some pictures of the day.

Coming soon I have Dani's wedding at the Cool Springs House on Oct. 10. Will post again after the wedding.

Decisions, Decisions

So far this is what we have determined with Bethany and Michael's wedding. We are using Copley Photography to shoot the wedding. Marty Copley does amazing work and I am very excited to be working with him. We are renting everything from Classic Party Rentals in LaVergne. They are very reasonable and with a tent we are spending only $700! That includes chairs and tables. For the cake we are going to have Wal-Mart make the wedding cake and For Goodness Cake Company of Murfreesboro to make the groom's cake, which is going to be a round chocolate cake with a fondant flat screen TV and Wii remote on it. We still have not decided what we are going to do for flowers, although we are considering somewhere like Publix or Kroger. I need to call Kroger to see what they charge, quality, etc. The wedding is all coming together and I am excited about how it is going to turn out.
In other news, I have booked a wedding for June/July of next year that will probably be at Cheekwood. I think it is a beautiful place to have a wedding. I have plenty of time to plan and it seems like this one will be just as fun as all the others!

More on Bethany and Michael, New Wedding

Bethany and Michael's wedding is coming along. We have mostly decided that we are going with Tomorrow's Memories photography. They are great and I already have a connection with them as they are shooting the wedding in June that I am in. I just need to get and send the deposit. Bethany has decided that she wants to do party trays from Publix(or somewhere like that) for food instead of an expensive caterer. She has also decided what she wants to do for her bouquets. Here are some examples:

:
I really like the stargazer lilies, but we do not know if we are going to get real or fake. I have already contacted Raintree Florist and I have an appointment with Accents with Love in Smyrna on June 6th, this Saturday. We have been looking at more invitations and seals for their wine glass party favors. I also went to Stewart's today to price rentals, as well as looking on the Internet at other stores. I think Stewart's may be the way to go because their tents are cheaper. Grand Events have cheaper tables though and this may save us more in the long run. We still need to figure out a music option for the wedding. I am really excited about how much everything is coming together!

Today I booked a new wedding! It is on October 10 and the bride's name is Dani. I will just be coordinating the ceremony and present the day of, but I still feel special to be part of their day. I will mainly be setting up centerpieces, helping with etiquette, etc. I love being in this business!
